James L. Gay, Senior Pastor
Pastor Jim Gay was born and raised in the Moxham area of Johnstown. He is a 1988 graduate of Johnstown High School and a 1994 graduate of Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he received a BA degee in Church Ministries, Evangelism.
Upon completing his degree from ORU, Pastor Jim was hired to the pastoral staff at the Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship in May 1994. In 2000 he also accepted a call as the Campus Pastor of the University Of Pittsburgh Johnstown, a position which he held for 13 years.
For over 20 years Pastor Jim has worked alongside Pastor Gary L. Tustin, serving as a Ministry Assistant. In October 2016, Pastor Gary transitioned to Senior Pastor Emeritus while Pastor Jim was recognized as Senior Pastor.
Pastor Jim, his wife Laura, and their son Jimmy reside in Richland.
Gary L. Tustin, Senior Pastor Emeritus
Pastor Gary L. Tustin was born in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, the second of three sons. During his teenage years, he recognized a call of God on his life. In 1967, he accepted the call and entered the ministry. For nearly 50 years, Pastor Gary has been committed to the pastoral ministry which has taken him to Arkansas, Florida, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania.
Pastor Gary is the Founding Pastor of the Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship. Since 1982, he has been instrumental in unifying pastors and Christian Leaders in the body of Christ. Pastor Gary’s heart is to develop younger leaders into realizing their full potential in Christ as the next generation leads the Church into the future.
He is in ministerial fellowship with Worldwide Missionary Evangelism organization under the leadership of Pastor Kemp Holden of Fort Smith Arkansas.
Pastor Gary and his wife Peggy reside in Johnstown. He is the father of two children, daughter, Lori and son, Brian. He is also a grandfather of five, Alyssa, Luke, Olivia, Brianna and Trevor.
